The following is a selection of six posters. The first three from my own collection. All are a representation of the quality of art work commisioned by Holland America. On the home page you will also find the image of yet another poster, that of the Potsdam.
A Zeeland girl with the Nieuw Amsterdam in the background. This was one of a pair of posters issued in or about January, 1951. The other was a silhouette of King Neptune and the new Ryndam and Maasdam passing at sea. The posters came in both unmounted and framed versions.
A poster, likely from the 1930's, depicting a soaring gull with one of the two funnel liners on the horizon.
An overhead view of the Nieuw Amsterdam of 1938. This poster, showing some of the deck space is from the early 50's, depicts the ship prior to the hull being painted grey. The people on deck are proportionately small, making the ship look much larger.
