HOLLAND AMERICA LINE POSTCARD COLLECTORS REFERENCE LIBRARY

The Holland America Line started issuing ceramic tiles to their Mariner Society members in 1995. The first series was a set depicting windmills and consequent series have had subjects from Dutch national costumes to ships of the line (6 series) to the poster images from the late 2000-s. All tiles have been 4" x 4" in size and most of them have been backed by cardboard so they could serve as coasters. They have become a very much desired collectible. Below you will find a complete listing with the Mariner Society tiles issued by the Line over the years. Those tiles I do not have in my collection have been marked as "need". This series celebrates the 125th anniversary of the Holland America Line. I have all the tiles in this set. The tile on the top left was a special customer relations gift tile and is very scarce. If anyone has more information on where it was issued, please drop me an email.

This series depicts posters of the Holland America Line. I have this series complete. The two tiles on the bottom row were issued only to Mariners on special Mariner Voyages, making them quite hard to find. The tiles are scarcer than any of the other Mariner tiles with exception of the 125th anniversary customer relation tile. The 3.5" x 3.5" mar-10-guest tile is courtesy of Trisha and Virgil Carter and is very hard to find. It was especially designed for a private function on board the ss. Rotterdam, I do not have mar-10-guest..

2011

There were no new tiles issued in 2011 - the tiles from the previous four years were used during this period.

2012
